Flor@lias: interaction through living natural metaphors
Introduction
Flor@lias is an ambient display that allows the visualization and the management of e-mail messages through living natural metaphors. Each contact is represented as a flower that has got as many leaves as the messages received from this contact. The interaction happens both by direct manipulation of the elements on a multi-touch screen and acting on a real plant that is able to send input signals to the device.
The aim of my project is to make the user associate an immaterial digital media as the e-mail to living natural elements. In this way he can acquire a different perception of technology, which allows him to use it comfortably to get in contact with his beloved ones.
